This newspaper cutting relates to a specially arranged Benefit Match arranged to raise funds for the family of Denis Norton, following his death. The game was played at Wheldon Road on 12 Dec 1955 when a Rugby League X111, comprising players from Castleford, Featherstone, Wakefield, Hunslet, Leeds and one New Zealander, played the New Zealand tourists.
