Description: Ronnie Lewis Testimonial game. We think this is from that game, played on Friday 7 May 1954 against a Yorkshire X111. Castleford won 48-30. He had been forced to retire early due to injury and this match raised 60 pounds for him. However, it may be from a testimonial game played on Monday 10 May 1954 when Castleford played Mr J A Bullock's xiii in a charity match to raise funds for furthering amateur football in the district and to provide an old people's centre in the town. Castleford won that 36-16
