This photo was taken of Denis Norton during the game between Castleford and New Zealand on 16 November 1955. This was the last game he played, as he collapsed during the game and was taken to Pontefract hospital where he tragically died on 27 Nov 1955, aged 22 years. Some members of the New Zealand touring team acted as pall-bearers at his funeral.
