Description: Pic 1: French trip 1945: A group of players and officials who visited France to help re-establish rugby league after the game had been banned by the Vichy Government during the war years. The team took a week out of their domestic season to play two friendlies in France. On 17th November 1945 they beat Cote Basque 11-8 and on 18th November they drew 8-8 with Bordeaux. This photograph was included in Len Garbett's book courtesy of Yorkshire Post Newspapers Ltd.
